about this website

I have started to build this website in February 2007 on my own. I used the free software ”OpenOffice” and ”HTML-Kit” and the book ”HTML Web-Publishing Handbuch” by Münz/Nefzger. The log reports are written in PDF-format using ”OpenOffice”. I will try to update the site twice a year, the reports will be written in English or German.

The site is optimized for, tested with and can be seen best with a the FIREFOX Browser (there might exist deviations in the outcome of other browsers).

The principal idea has been to keep first of all our family and close friends informed about our journey and experiences, to give informations to some of my sailing-websites forum colleagues, as well as to give other ”dropouts” from business the courage to do the same as we have done - and finally, to write a sailing diary for my own.

English is not my mother language, therefore I have to apologize for all mistakes of my English writing. Any mistakes found can be kept as a gift.

The photos displayed here are in a reasonable quality, better quality photos and a lot of more can be sent to family members and close friends on request. The photos refer to the text.
